Your Dog Doesn't Know Sit

Sit is one of the first behaviors folks teach their dogs. Most trainers encourage folks to use sit as a launch pad towards rewards such as being leashed up, going outside, being invited onto the sofa, setting the food bowl on the floor, etc. Eventually your dog will “read the room” and offer sitting whenever she wants something.
