Cash Only, Two Choices
If you go to a restaurant that only takes cash, and you have none, you have two choices. You either get cash from the ATM or you choose another restaurant. That's it.
I want you to think about behavior challenges as a “cash only” situation. Your two options are changing your behavior or living with the issue. You need to change your behavior so your dog can change his.
Your dog is unlikely to volunteer loose leash walking without training. Your dog is unlikely to keep four paws on the ground in the kitchen without management and training. Without training, your dog is unlikely to come when called in the woods at the same speed he comes when called inside your home.
Your brain is bigger than your dog's brain. Use it to make a training and management plan that sets everyone up for success! Your dog's behavior is highly unlikely to improve on its own.
